I wish the photos did this bathroom justice.
I couldn’t be happier with the way it turned out, mostly because I am OBSESSED with the tile we used from Cement Tile Shop. So much so, that I often find myself wanting to use this room over our master. (Only sort of not kidding…)
The stain on the cabinets is custom and when I first saw it I had a pretty knee-jerk negative reaction. But as time has gone on and more elements were placed in the room, I’ve grown to where I actually like the stain quite a bit.
We used the same Delta faucet we used in the powder room, only this time in matte black. And while we used a lot of black matte elements, we chose to mix metals (again) and the light fixture from Lamps Plus is a chrome and so are the shower doors. Personally, I love mixing metals. A lot of people (including our builder) are confused by the choice because it’s not traditional, but I feel like it lightens rooms and makes them feel less “done.”
Finally, this room was originally supposed to be a shower/bath combo, but we chose to make it just a shower instead. That was a big decision, but in the end I felt like guests very rarely have time to take a bath and a good walk in shower seemed like the right fit for the space. Plus, it gave me the chance to carry that Avalon Navy tile I love so much all the way through the bathroom, which makes the space feel more open.
I wish the photos did this bathroom justice.
