TKC Profile: Juliet Angus

You may know Juliet Angus as the brassy American on Bravo’s new hit television show Ladies of London. We know her as that girl over there in the badass Isabel Marant booties.

Here in the states we’ve still got a few months before we get a look at what Angus has been up to in Season 2. But while we are waiting (not so) patiently, we decided to head to London to grab dinner with the #LondonStylist and get her to spill the proverbial beans about where she got that coat…and those shoes…and that bag. Okay, all of it. We want all of it.

A woman with more energy in her perfectly manicured pinky than we can muster up most weekends, it’s no surprise Angus’ style is just as fun. But don’t let her knack for mixing prints and wearing statement pieces fool you, she’s all about investing in the basics.

SIGNATURE STYLE:  “Modern with a twist.”

WHEN SHOPPING: “Invest in classic forever pieces that may scare you when you buy them because of their price, but are items that you could wear everyday of your life. Say no to impulse buys and save for the items that are on your ultimate wish list.”

AVOID: “Over buying trend items. Less is more. (This is the only time you will ever hear me say that!)”

You can tell a lot about a woman by her uniform. And in typical Juliet style, Angus takes hers to a whole other level.

OUTERWEAR: “I invested in a classic Burberry raincoat six years ago and it has been absolutely essential living in London. And two years ago, I purchased a wool Burberry military style coat with gold buttons and leather details. The coat blends a classic style with edgier details making it just right for me in the winter.”

BOOTS:  “Isabel Marant.”

ON TOP: “I just love a good flannel – J. Crew, Gap, Abercrombie & Fitch and Rails all do great ones each season. Every season it’s als0 a guarantee I will be buying one or two Isabel Marant pieces from her Etoile collection, which is the non-runway pieces that are lower priced (still pricey). Isabel Marant always mixes a bit of boho and rock ‘n roll for a super cool effortless look that is just very me. I know that I will always get a lot of mileage from the pieces I buy for years to come.”

ON BOTTOM:  “In the winter I’m either in jeans or leather leggings.”

ACCESSORIES:  “I love my clutches for evenings and I’m currently coveting Edie Parker and M2Malletier handbags. My sunglasses are usually Thierry LasryIllesteva or new British brand Taylor Morris. And my jewelry I keep simple – Anita Ko, Monica Vinader and Emerson Ryder do perfect everyday pieces that go perfect day to night.”
