A Whole Lot of Scents

A Whole Lot of Scents

Navigating the world of fragrances takes some serious commitment and a willingness to look beyond the billion dollar shenanigan that is the business of celebrity and designer scents.  Over the years we have gone from having one over-advertised scent (most likely purchased by a mother and received as a part of a gift set over the holidays) that we wore until the bottle was empty, to having a scent per season, maintaining a lust list of favorite perfumes and taking trips to department stores to spend hours in the fragrance aisle. There is so much amazingness out there that isn’t as highly publicized as some of the other more mainstream scents (hello everything Diptyque).  We are talking fragrances so good that we have nearly made ourselves sick sniffing our wrists throughout the day. True story. From light and airy to smells compared to a circus, welcome to our world of scents (both designer – including Katie’s favored Narciso Rodriguez, above – and those of the lesser known variety). One day this list will represent more than just an inventory of perfume-sprayed cards we carry around in handbags… One day. One bottle at a time.

See anything you love or a killer fragrance we missed? We are always looking to supplement our perfume tray, so drop your recommendations in the comments.

Love Jersey by Chanel. After seeing some of these fragrances though, I’m pretty sure I’m going to be doing some major splurging on new scents! Thanks a lot TKC! It’s a love/hate thing. 🙂

Burberry london. I’ve gone through 3 bottles. And always have to have one.
Same with diesel fuel for life.
