Today is officially the first day of Spring. Which means the sun is actually starting to come out and might eventually make its way to those hairs on your scalp. If you’re hair is feeling unworthy of the spotlight after months of clouds and indoor lights, we hear you.
We’ve experimented with a lot of products over the years to help bring the shine back to dull hair in time for it to make it’s seasonal debut. Here are two of our favorites. These products don’t just bring the shine back, they also happen to be good for your hair.
- Rene Furterer Luminating Shine Vinegar Rinse – Rene Furterer has an entire line of luminating products, including a shampoo and conditioner we would also recommend. But if you are looking for only one shine inducing product (we can’t be bothered with complicated, either), we love this rinse. It uses Acerola vinegar, rich in vitamin C, which neutralizes hard water and tightens the hair’s cuticles to reveal mirror shine and make detangling easier. Just another one of those powerful vinegar-based products that are all the rage these days.
- Drybar Sparkling Soda Shine Mist – It’s no secret that we love the Drybar products, particularly because they are easy to use and smell amazing. The Sparkling Soda Shine Mist is no different. Just spray a bit on your hands or directly onto your hair and smooth away. It calms flyaways, static, and frizz without weighing down hair while simultaneously creating luminous shine. Oh, and it contains UV absorbers to keep color vibrant and prevent color fading. So, yeah. It’s awesome.
