Let me tell you a story.
About a month ago, when winter was still aggressively winter, a girlfriend of mine stopped by for dinner. While she was here she was continuously complaining about how chapped her hands were. The combination of soaking them in water while doing dishes all day (she’s a mom) and braving the elements had left her skin as cracked as an iPhone screen after a long Friday night.
After listening to her list of woes, I took a tour through the TKC beauty closet in the hopes of helping her solve her dry dilemma. And on my search I came across a bottle of Avene’s Cold Cream for Extremely Dry Sensitive Skin. And while I am not one to judge a book by it’s cover (this is technically a face cream, after all), in this case there was something in the name.
So we gave it a try. Right then and there.
I am pleased to report that not only did she feel instant relief, but she took the bottle home (we are givers here at TKC) and raved about how quickly it had helped restore her hands to their former glory.
I have since been using it on my extremely dry skin to fix a multitude of post-pregnancy sins. Turns out, face cream. Not just for the face anymore.
While I am not one to judge a book by it’s cover, in this case there is something in a name.
